Jennifer McGillivary

Jennifer McGillivary is an attorney and lecturer for the Finance and Legal Studies Department, as well as the Pierre Laclede Honors College.  Ms. McGillivary is also an industry arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and a volunteer mediator and arbitrator for the St. Louis Better Business Bureau.

Ms. McGillivary began her legal career as a federal law clerk for Hon. Rodney W. Sippel, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Missouri.  Following her clerkship, Ms. McGillivary practiced law with Blackwell, Sanders, Peper, Martin, LLC (now Husch Blackwell, LLC).  Ms. McGillivary then joined the Compliance Department at Edward Jones, LLP.  While at Edward Jones, Ms. McGillivary held her Series 7, 9, 10, 24, 63, and insurance licenses.  As assistant general counsel, she regularly advised financial advisors and defended the firm in regulatory matters before state and federal regulators.

Ms. McGillivary graduated magna cum laude from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.  She received her Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.
